The 1 HP Gecko XP2 661-0006 can be used as a replacement for the Wavemaster 6000 used in the Hot Spot SX 115V and Watkins, Hot Springs, Freeflow Plug & Play hot tubs. Gecko rates their pumps by OP. OP.HP stands for operational horsepower and is specific to Gecko. A Gecko 1.5 HP is traditionally 1 HP.
Got this for a replacement on my hot tub. Delivery was fast. I think from time of order to in my hands was 4 days (and I ordered on a weekend). Nice that it came with the 2 fittings. Easy to install but some sort of wiring diagram would be helpful in order to know what was the high speed wire to the low speed wire. Luckily the old motor had the wires labeled and was the same configuration inside. As far as noise, I actually think it's a bit noisier than my last motor (before it started acting up) It does circulate the water a lot better. Guess my old one had been slowly dying the last few years. Old motor was probably at least 10 years old so hopefully we can get that out of this one.
