threaded plastic connections-replaced manifold a couple of years ago -no problem-now threads have separated after a few years-have not had on/off for years so why do threads strip?need better housing for the element

This was a replacement for a discontinued item. It was advertised as a direct substitute and that is what it is. 100%

    Did the job

I ordered this part for an older hot tub. It arrived within 10 days and took about 10 minutes to install. Although this site charges the going rate for this part, I cannot understand why they are so crazy expensive. I took my old one apart to see. The circuit board is encapsulated with epoxy but I got enough off to inspect it. I’m an electrical engineer. There may have been $60 worth of parts. All in I expect it’s about $75 to make one of these. Someone is getting rich here. But that’s life. Cheaper than a new hot tub.
